ACCESS to Learning

With support from the Department of Education, ACCESS to Learning provides free, comprehensive programming in foundational literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, and life skills for adults.

The program, available in St. John’s at The Gathering Place, Gander, Corner Brook, and Happy Valley-Goose Bay, empowers adults by enhancing foundational skills needed for personal growth, employment, and community engagement. Our flexible learning options cater to diverse needs, offering both individual and group instruction tailored to each participant’s learning goals.

The ACCESS to Learning program is strengthened through integrated partnerships with The Gathering Place in St. John’s, the Salvation Army in Gander, and the Vine Place Community Centre in Corner Brook. These partnerships provide vital support through space, promotion, and recruitment efforts.

Individual and Small Group instruction is offered in:

  • Foundational literacy and numeracy
  • Digital literacy
  • Life skills

ACCESS to Learning is open to all adults over the age of 19, with continuous enrollment ensuring that participants can join at any time.

Whether you’re looking to build basic skills or advance your education, ACCESS to Learning is here to support your journey—all at no cost.
