Remote Learning Program Ending January 31st, 2024

Dear Participants, Partners, and Murphy Centre Community,

It is with gratitude for your support and sadness that we announce that the Remote Literacy Program will end effective Wednesday, January 31, 2024. We want to express our heartfelt thanks for your enthusiasm, participation, and belief in the program, without which we would not have had such a successful year.

Since December 2022, the Remote Literacy Program has:

  • Reached over 200 participants
  • Had over 700 session registrations
  • Held sessions on 98 different topics
  • Served 22 communities across Newfoundland and Labrador

We are grateful to the Northpine Foundation for its financial support and commitment to enhancing accessible online educational programming for adults throughout the province.

We want to thank our key partners, ABC Life Literacy, the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Libraries, and the Town of Fogo Island, for their invaluable support and collaboration with the Remote Literacy Program over the last year.

Although our online community was short-lived, the Remote Literacy Program provided valuable and long-lasting opportunities for learning.

Thank you.
